Qigong Instruction
Cultivating Extraordinary Health & Vital Life Energy

What Is It?
Qigong is an ancient form of Chinese medicine, and is one of the four main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), along acupuncture, herbs and massage therapy. Qigong is similar and closely related to the martial art of T'ai Chi, having the same health benefits, and also consisting of gentle movements and deep breathing.

"Chi" means 'life force energy', and "gong" means 'skill', ‘work’, or ‘art’. Therefore, Qigong is the skillful practice of gathering, circulating, balancing and applying life force energy.

How Does Qigong Help Us Heal?

"BREATHE DISEASE OUT OF YOUR BODY"

When we hold back, or do not integrate our thoughts, strong emotions, and stressful attitudes, they can become trapped in the body’s tissues as a form of toxic energy. These unprocessed emotions block the natural flow of Chi, thus creating stagnant pools of toxic energy in the body. The accumulation of years of painful emotions can cause mental and physical illness.

Qigong is an ancient Chinese wellness tool for relaxation, healing, strengthening and balancing. These powerful techniques use the principle of Chi, considered by Eastern medicine to be the energy source that carries life through your body. The sharpness of the mind, the strength of the body, and the clarity of the spirit are all essential for health and vitality. Qigong exercises work on all three levels. Qigong practice bring us back to the fact that the power of the mind is at the heart of our healing.

Qigong is an excellent tool for stress management and a safe, modified fitness exercise for cardiovascular, neuromuscular, arthritic, and other chronic immune disorders. It also indirectly puts a stop to colds, viruses, ulcers, heart disease, arthritis, headaches, and discomfort from menopause with easy to follow step-by-step sequences.

     About the Classes
The Qigong exercises you will learn are actually (1) specific breathing techniques combined with (2) simple body postures, (3) effective visualizations focused with (4) intent. The exercises are handed down for centuries by traditional Chinese doctors. This combination can purge sickness, while improving health, increasing personal power and ability to control one’s own life.

Qigong instruction offers you a ‘hands-on’ opportunity to learn a set of easy-to-do exercises with powerful healing and energizing effects. All styles of Qigong taught are based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles of health and healing.

  • The regimen opens with exercises specifically designed to send excess stress energy downward and calm the mind.

  • Next, you will learn the basic principles of cultivating vital life energy from all its sources (heaven, earth, and humanity).

  • Learn how to breathe disease out of your body using Qigong Healing techniques.

  • Another series of exercises represents each of the Five Elements: Earth, Metal, Water, Wood, and Fire. The order of the Five Elements in the practice represents the order of the flow of chi throughout the body, and purges the organs, harmonizes the emotions and discharges sickness.
