FAQs on QIGONG FITNESS

"What are the medical benefits of traditional fitness therapies?"

The medical benefits Qigong and T'ai chi have been studied for thousands of years in Asia, but only about 20 years in the West. At this time, Western medical research is rapidly discovering that these ancient forms of healing provide more medical benefits than any other kind of exercise. This discovery (and acknowledgement!) has recently put these fitness exercises at the cutting edge of modern medical research.

Reliable scientific research has shown that regular practice of qigong, t'ai chi, and/or meditation supports multiple health benefits such as improving one’s mood and the ability to get restful sleep, reducing anxiety and lowering heart rate, decreasing blood pressure. Recent studies even suggest that some practitioners may be able to decrease the rate of cancer cell growth in the laboratory!
